How did the opposition behave or respond?
the oppostion thought that the Brady bill wouldnt do anything to stop the crimerate from stopping, so they voted n o on the bill
2. Who said it and why is this quote important?
"if it werent for mr. brad.... i wouldnt be standing here talkig to you all right here, right now....."(Ronald Reagan) its important because it shows what the president was thinking about when John Hinckley tried to shoot him
3. When did it happen? What key events preceded and followed your topic?
happened in march 31, 1981, later the brady campaign, then thew trial of Hinckley, then the brady bill is passed.

John Hinkley has watched the movie The Taxi Driver about 15-20 times and falls in love with Jodie Foster
1979
he writes her disturbng love letters, poems, notes, etc.
1980
John begins to plan out what he is about to do but before he does this he writes a letter explaining to Jodie Foster what is about to happen.
1981
Ronald Reagan, and James Brady are both shot from the attemptted assasination of the president. Ronald is shot in his left arm, as for brady hes shot in the head.
1982
Brady is still recovering from the gun shot and the trial of John Hinckley and already taken place and was announced not guilty for reasons of insanity. Also he has raised a campaign and has gooten a bill name the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act.
4. Consequences? Your topic led to what kinds of changes?
changed the requirments for being considered insane. Also people begin questioning wheather they made the right choice of letting John Hinckley go.
5. Responsibilities? - This questions can be asked/answered in many ways? You must figure out which ways apply to your topic?
dont over do it and go walking everywhere with a handgun or assault weapons.
Think about bystanders. What responsibility do outsiders/world citizens share in assuring that these rights are possessed by all around the world?
dont use weapons as a first response to crime. Call the police use precations first try and make guns your last resort.
Think about those who possess the right. What responsibility do they have in possessing or defending or exercising the right?
dont have soo many weapons that you dont no what to do with, instead have one, lock it somewhere safe to make sure children dont have it in their hands.
Think about those who are denied the right. What responsibility do they have in fighting for that right? Must they respect law and society's need for order?
always look for other ways. Maybe find reasons as to why you dont have one and if it doesnt sound right or doesnt make sensce then bring it up so people can help you with it.
